Easter eggs, stormy surf and Surf competitions!

Well, it's been a while since the last blog. Since the new website has been up and running we also have been busy busy! A lot has happened in the last few weeks. Easter was inundated not only with loads of rain but plenty of nice people and a few Easter eggs!

We had the pleasure to have a great group with us that made the most of the stormy surf, wind and rain that "sunny" Portugal presented them with!

From onshore surf, to strong winds and rips they had it all, surfing some gnarly reefs and powerful waves! And still managed to squeeze in a windsurf session.

But that soon changed, the sun came out and surf cleaned up. There was some surfing to be done and some surf competitions to go for! Having a couple of our Groms on the Surf Nationals, we always try to take them to all the other small competitions we can find and this one, right on our door step, was no exception.

With a great atmosphere and some good waves to be surfed we managed to convince Sarah and Kipper to go for it! Both did great but unfortunately not enough to go through! Toni also lost on his semi final putting up a great fight and making some radical turns and Tiago carved his way to the Final and finished in third.

Great weekend topped up by our friend Canelas and the Algarve Grom Team that also did amazing at the competition and by our new friends Salvador, Mateus and Vicente, another group of super stoked groms!

With the holiday coming to an end, everybody made the most of it surfing until the last minute before they got in the truck and drove to Lisbon. Always a pleasure meeting such nice, enthusiastic and "dangerous" people!

Cheers everybody!
